This is a Design/Build project for the full replacement of a structurally deficient single
span reinforced concrete T Beam Bridge carrying State Route 0040 over Buffalo Creek.
The new structure is anticipated to be constructed on the existing horizontal alignment
with only minor adjustments to the vertical alignment (0.19 acres disturbance). Because
the structure is located directly adjacent to historic S Bridge care will need to occur in
demolition plus new bridge will include features such as stained concrete, weather guide
rail and type 10 M barrier with weathered steel/powdered type finish. Traffic will be
maintained using half width construction and controlled with a temporary traffic signal.

Porter Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. The existing riveted steel through

a Rural Local Roadway; therefore, Rural Local Road criteria were used to establish the
