Aliquippa Waste Water Treatment Plant
Aliquippa Waste Water Treatment Plant Corrective Action Plan – Widmer Engineering Inc.
designed 3 new secondary treatment pumps and controls, installed secondary bypass
flowmeter, and eliminated bypasses during storm events.
Beaver Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant
Beaver Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrade/Expansion, Interceptor and East
Trunk Line Sanitary Sewers were performed using PENNVEST funding.  The project
design and construction included the an expansion of 2.5 MGD to 4.8 MGD, a new
oxidation tower, new belt filter press, new office/laboratory building, 9600 LF 24”
interceptor sewer, and 7200 LF 18” trunk sewer.
Midland Waste Water Treatment Plant
WEI designed an Anaerobic Digester Conversion to Sludge Holding Tank for the Municipal
Authority of the Borough of Midland.  The project included cleaning and re-coating
digester interior, installing fine bubble aeration (for odor control), installing new digester
bottom draw-offs, installing new supernatant draw-off lines, and providing storage and
thickening prior to disposal of liquid sludge off site.
